| CRA is a family-oriented recreational facility that first opened in 1949. Charles L. Todd III, along with many other hard working visionaries, had a plan for a community recreation area to be enjoyed by all. He and the others built the Brookland Recreation Association, the original name for the Chamberlayne Recreation Association. |

| Email from a former member: "It is with some sadness that we leave Richmond to move to the Charleston, SC area to live. Therefore, we will not be renewing our triple nickel membership. 555 We thank you for welcoming our family to the CRA and providing a safe, beautiful, and well-maintained facility for members to enjoy. Although we have been North Chamberlayne residents for the past 10 years, we only joined CRA about 4 years ago thanks to the encouragement of Mrs. Johnson at a Dolphins sign-up. Our son, James, is now more confident in the water and is a better swimmer because of the swim team. It is our prayer that CRA grows in attendance and participants enthusiastically come together to support and help the community to flourish. May God bless and keep you all." Gary, Sharon & James A. |
